About Us

Our Company

O-Hx was formed in 2016 due to a growing urgency for energy storage which was being accelerated by the overwhelming drive into renewable energy solutions. Reinforced by a team of experienced professionals.

Organic Heat Exchangers Ltd was founded by Bob Long in 2016. Bob has 45+ year experience in refrigeration technology development. Organic Heat Exchangers Ltd is a unique, dynamic, answer to the growing global need for energy storage, focused on the cooling market, and is the brainchild of Bob Long, an engineer immersed in the science of thermal energy management for over 45 years. O-Hx is based in Lancashire, part of the north-west of England and plans to remain in the region as the company grows. O-Hx will initially assemble the key thermal battery chargers in-house, with plans to outsource their assembly as sales grow, this being possible without large investments in tooling.

O-Hx is the home of this patented technology, capable of storing and delivering vast amounts of thermal energy on demand to drive down the cost of cooling and provide hugely scalable energy storage. Other thermal energy storage products have been limited by poor efficiency, limited charging and discharging flexibility and high costs. Ever increasing energy costs and a focus on net zero operations are key drivers for companies seeking more sustainable operations and reduced operating costs. Bob and his team have developed EnergiVault® patented technology to exploit the commerciality of these highly disruptive technologies which utilise physics, engineering, and AI technology to create the ultimate economic energy management solutions.
